Imogen Rogers

Imogen Rogers, Junior Editor

Imogen Rogers is participating in her second year on the AVJ Team. She loves to write book reviews, make infographics, and craft stories about her fellow students. Having grown up writing and under the influence of a mom who was an on-air news reporter for ABC7, Imogen was immediately interested in Amador’s journalism program after hearing about it freshman year. Her time in this class has lived above and beyond her expectations, having made wonderful friendships and always learning new things. At the 2019 JEA National Conference in Washington, DC, her and Amador alumni Bella Mayo placed in a national video segment competition.

In addition to her passion for writing, Imogen is a gymnast who holds her sport, teammates, and coaches very close to her heart. She lives for Summer and loves being in nature with those that she loves, always looking for a good time with good people. Imogen also grew up around music and enjoys playing ukulele and guitar when she gets the chance. In the future she hopes to learn more about spirituality, growing her knowledge about things like crystals and meditation, and two of Imogen’s big goals are to write both a book and a movie. To set her on the right track, her current plan for college is to major in communications and creative writing. Imogen’s three “rules” to life are (1) be a good friend, (2) make it fun, and (3) drink water!
