Elyssa Lieu, Senior Editor
Elyssa Lieu ('22) is an up-and-coming junior who enjoys imagining rocket launch sounds as the background music to her life. In her spare time, Elyssa can be found in her backyard, where she is currently growing tomatoes, lemons, and okra. Elyssa is also a huge fan of reading British murder mysteries. Both Agatha Christie and G.K. Chesterton may be dead, but that’s not stopping her from devouring their works as fast as she can!
This past year, Elyssa learned about InDesign, article formatting, and photography; in 2020, she plans on learning even more about journalism so she can support AVJ better as a senior editor. Recently, Elyssa has taken up a hobby of stressing about the future, but then again, she’s pretty sure we’re all doing that. When we interviewed her, Elyssa reported seeing “AP exams” and “heavy textbooks” floating in the air, but that’s no cause for concern...
...probably.
