Finishing the Year: From Students to Administrators!

The past two years hit us with a whole lot of chaos and said no to peace and quiet. In fact, our Dons have come out of the year behaving, acting, and looking completely different. In this podcast, we talk to some of our fellow Dons around Amador to get their opinions of the year- the good, the bad, and everything in between.

 Students

Students were affected the most by the pandemic, and thus this abrupt transition back to in-person learning was both jarring and completely alien to them. In this episode, Elyssa Lieu (’22) interviews students on what was new, what was pleasing, and what wasn’t so pleasing about the school year of 2021-2022.

The Staff of Amador

The year of 2020-2021 was a harsh one for the staff around Amador- many lost their jobs, while others weren’t able to gain a full pay. Parth Mishra (’23) talks to some of the staff around Amador to get their opinion on the new year, and also to a student who mentions the importance of gratitude for the staff that help make Amador into what it is today.

Teachers

Teachers were no strangers to trouble during remote learning either. Many are happy to be back, and have already adapted to this new environment we all find ourselves in. In this episode, Alex Wu (’22) makes conversation with some of the teachers around campus to get their take on the year.

Administrators

And last but not the least, our administrators are the ones who worked to make sure this year remains as stress-free and academically strong for us as possible. So Kevin Zhu (’23) has set out to talk to these wonderful people and discover their perspective on the current school year.
