Soumyasri Rangan
Soumya Rangan ('23) is a sophomore entering her first year of journalism. She passionately participated in creative writing camps over summers and journaled her vacations as a way of recording, and remembering her fun. Soumya wants to be part of the Amador spirit through photography and podcasts, where she will be able to channel her inner purple while also collaborating with amazing teachers and peers.

Using her dog as a footrest, she loves listening to music, reading historical fiction, and surfing YouTube. Soumya also loves to run for fun and has taken part in the AVHS Cross Country team. She has spent her last 9 years of her life with Indian music and has given concerts both in the Bay Area and India. With leadership experience from being a club president in middle school and high school, Soumya plans to take part in the writing committee responsibly. She plans to report about both school and outside news, and wants to develop her own style in which she can convey her passions.
