Amador has over 50 different clubs on campus, all focusing on separate things students are interested in. One of these clubs is Dungeons and Dragons club, dedicated to the game where students must put their strategic minds to work to remain victorious.
“If you’ve ever been interested in it or you’ve heard about it and thought you might want to try it, [DND Club] is super beginner-friendly and you’re able to meet a lot of people who are also trying to learn the game and get into it,” said Vice President Mihika Jaju (‘28)
The club serves as an opportunity for students around campus to share their interest in the game.
“It’s just people who share similar interests in the game. We’re not really doing a big project. just enjoying the game,” Mihika Jaju (‘28)
Benefits of Joining DND Club
The Dungeons & Dragons Club helps students with valuable life skills such as storytelling, communication with peers, and strategic thinking. These are important abilities that benefit people throughout their lives, and joining the D&D Club is a fun and engaging way to build upon them.
“You can benefit from the D&D club by expandingyour storytelling skills, because it is a story that you’re following. Because it’s a game, you kind of have to fight with each other,” Club Member Sarah Ocampo (‘28) said.
Amador Valley’s Dungeons & Dragons Club allows creativity. It lets students design their own characters, create unique backstories, and shape the game story through their choices. It’s welcoming to everyone, and experienced members are always ready to help newer players, making every meeting fun and exciting to attend.
“Any personality can fit any personality into your character. People who like video games will like it, like Resident Evil, because it has a storyline to it. But you’re not just playing as some random character. Like, you created it yourself,” says Ocampo (‘28).
