Arlina Yang, Media Arts Editor
Arlina Yang is a senior in her third year in advanced journalism. She loves to challenge herself to try out new ideas and learn new skills in writing, designing, and video editing. Arlina likes to listen to all kinds of Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and English songs, crochet all kinds of projects, and hug her small dog. She is especially passionate about topics including Chinese/Taiwanese politics, Asian American news, and all sorts of food (but especially Asian food and desserts).
Arlina experienced both the traditional Asian education system and international American education system in her upbringing in Taiwan for 14 years, and she was able to maintain a native level fluency in both Mandarin and English as she moved to America as a high school freshman. Through her years in journalism, she learned many beneficial skills set: journalism writing, segments editing/filming, and graphic designing. And lastly, Arlina hopes to have a wonderful senior year in journalism and improve along the journey in her last year as a high school journalism student.
