Heaven Boren, Senior Staff Writer
This year, Heaven Boren decided to take a chance and join AVJ for the first time as a senior staff writer. To her, journalism is a relevant outlet for the campus community, and she hopes that fellow students can connect with and find interest in the stories she tells. She is also looking forward to meeting new people and hearing their own stories as the year unfolds.
Around campus, there is a chance you have witnessed her swimming in the Amador pool or slamming down UNO cards at the lunch tables. Maybe you have seen her outside of school, jamming out to music in her car, or amongst the colorful rows of clothing in a thrift store. Perhaps she has walked by you donning a t-shirt from one of those thrifting trips. They might have said statements like “Genuine Texan” or “I climbed the Great Wall of China ''. Neither of these are true about the experience and life of Heaven however are the start of her growing collection of false statement graphic tees. Whether or not she’s been seen doing so, she loves reading, baking, and spending time outside, especially with friends and family.
