AVHS Car Show takes place in Santa Rita parking lot

Car show winner Daniel Cruz’s (’24) Volkswagen Vanagon has been in his family for generations, and he has many cherished memories of camping with his family in it.
Participants’ cars were judged on a scale of 1-10, based on factors such as engine quality and revving.
Amador’s leadership class hosts an after-school car show on March 10th. It features several classic cars, including Cruz’s 1992 Volkswagen Vanagon.
After being named winner of the 2023 Amador Car Show, Cruz proudly accepts a Little Caesar’s pizza as his prize.
This Ford Mustang is adorned with a shiny yellow paint job. Many students take pride in maintaining their cars, showing the importance of cars in student culture.
The Jeep Wrangler is well-known for its off-road proficiency. Students enjoy driving because it grants them a level of independence, and over time, their cars begin to feel like a part of them.
Cars and driving are deeply embedded in student culture. Students are eager to showcase their vehicles, including a Jeep Wrangler and Ford Mustang.
