  • Many protesters came prepared with signs that supported the “Black Lives Matter” movement.

  • Both community members of color and white citizens of Pleasanton came together to fight for their cause.

  • Different chants were sung as people marched, such as “No justice, no peace.”

  • A common phrase used throughout the protest was ‘ACAB,’ an acronym for ‘All cops are ba*****s.’

  • Almost all community members practiced required safety measures, including face coverings.

  • Two main causes were highlighted during the protest: justice for Breonna Taylor and justice for George Floyd.

  • Hundreds of Pleasanton community members turned out for the event.

  • People of all ages, young and old, came to show their support for the black community.

  • One sign reads: “If not us, then who?” referring to the broken system.

  • Another sign reads: “There comes a time when silence is betrayal.”
