Starting off this playlist, we have the perfect song to ease into studying with. This calming lo-fi beat is sure to have you bobbing your head as you settle into focus.

To Know, Water by Austin Wintory

This track comes from the stunning video game Abzû, an underwater adventure. The music reflects the game’s mesmerizing visuals and beauty, and it’s sure to keep you good company as you make your way through your work.

Coconut Mall (From Mario Kart Wii) by Arcade Player

This song went viral on Tik Tok late last year as students and people across the world claimed it helped them focus on their work when it was played for hours on repeat. Hopefully, it helps you do the same! 

Harry’s Wondrous World by John Williams

Most people think of the classic theme song, “Hedwig’s Theme” when they think of Harry Potter, but this magical song is often overlooked. It’s played in calmer scenes at Hogwarts, often associated with Harry’s friendship with Ron and Hermione.

Home by Toby Fox

This calming track from the popular game Undertale released in 2015 almost sounds like it could be a lullaby. It’s gentle and sweet with just a bit of that 8-bit digital feel.

The Shire by Howard Shore

 This soothing soundtrack from the iconic Lord of the Rings trilogy sets the scene for the hobbits’ homeland, the Shire. Its soft strings and familiar melody are sure to help you relax while studying. 

Married Life by Michael Giacchino

It’s common knowledge that the first 5 minutes of the Pixar film UP are sure to make you laugh, then cry. This soundtrack goes through the highs and lows of that iconic opening with its nostalgic tune.

Flight From The City by Jóhann Jóhannsson, Yuki Numata Resnick, Clarice Jensen, Tarn Travers, and Ben Russell

This six-minute song was the opening track to Icelandic composer Johannson’s tenth studio album called Orphée. The quiet softness of this track is the perfect backdrop to a late-night study session.

Composed and produced for the TV series Black Mirror’s Nosedive episode, Consolations of Philosophy is shaped by hopeful piano, soft violin, and a repetitive melody to help you focus.

A lofi-like song with natural sounds and a calming beat, スモーク translates to smoke in Japanese. The soft woodwind instrument that guides the melody of this song is light and airy, and you can easily imagine yourself in a cafe with your headphones, working into the day. 

“we circle through the night, consumed by fire” by Max Richter

A thematic song with an underlying beat that doesn’t let up, “we circle through the night, consumed by fire” is almost ten minutes long and was recorded at the Spotify Studios in New York City by Max Richter. 

Minecraft by C418

This song created by C418, the stage name of German musician Daniel Rosenfeld, was part of the first soundtrack released for the video game Minecraft back in 2011. Listening to it sends you right back to first playing, with a repeating but never boring melody.

This popular soundtrack from the 2014 movie Interstellar, a space-oriented film starring Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway, allegedly inspired Christopher Nolan to write the screenplay for the movie in the first place.

This track from the 2017 film “The Shape of Water” is a great mix of mystery and calming that’ll make the perfect background for your late-night studying.

Although at first glance this lo-fi track looks short, it’s so easy to put it on loop and zone out into work for much longer than its original run time. With a gentle tune played over a relaxing beat, it’ll keep you going as you finish up this last week of school.
