Leona Jew, AVT Editor
Leona Jew (‘27) is a Senior Page Editor for Amador Valley Today in her second year at AVJ. A writer with a love for journalism, Leona competes in Mock Trial as an attorney and as a courtroom journalist, placing in the top three in the county for journalism for two consecutive years and representing Alameda County at Mock Trial State Finals. Leona also partakes in the Speech and Debate club as the Original Oratory captain. Outside of school, Leona enjoys playing the violin with her friends in a string quartet (thoughtfully named Strings Cheeses), watercolor painting, making trinkets with clay, journaling, and blogging. She likes to believe she has a tasteful eye for photography and enjoys keeping people informed through pretty photos and catchy titles. Her favorite part of journalism is interacting with new people through interviews and is excited to continue contributing to the journalism program!
