Alayna Chen, Staff Writer
Alayna Chen joins the AV Journalism team as a sophomore, excited to write and and create. She also hopes to expand her skills in video production from simple skits with her friends to professional segments. Although she enjoys many different types of writing, she especially loves creative writing and recently won first place in the 2022 Amador Writers Ensemble’s Tri-Valley Writing Competition.
When she’s not writing, Alayna can be found playing the clarinet in the band room for Wind Ensemble I or on the field in the stadium with the marching band. She is also commonly seen curled on the couch with a book before forcing herself back to reality to head out with her friends for boba. Alayna loves to travel and has finally succeeded in making her way to Disneyland Paris, a dream destination since elementary school. She has now visited five different Disney resorts around the globe (Anaheim, Orlando, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Paris).
