This year, our AVtv crew went out to JEA Nashville and competed in multiple competitions while attending conferences and expanding their knowledge of broadcast and journalism.

For this segment, Saarthak Yadav and Jack Renwick competed in the Person on the Street competition for NSMC (National Student Media Contest).

They went around the Gaylord Opryland Resort and asked people what they value in a news outlet and if what they think about the current state of news. Let’s check out what ‘people on the street’ thought about the topic of “journalism matters.”
