As AV students look forward to the new year, Friday Night Lights are an exciting component of the fall semester. To increase school spirit, Don Squad has put together FNL Themes for each home game.
“We wanted to make it inclusive for everyone and we also wanted to make sure our themes were accessible but also make it fun for the crowd to participate in the FNL themes. I am most looking forward to neon out because it’s my favorite theme and I’m looking forward to seeing don squad hyping up the crowd and us teaching out new chants. I’m super hype for this year and I’m very glad that I’m Don Squad publicity officer!” said Allison Medios (‘26).
Theme 1: 9/12, Gold Rush
The Gold Rush theme is when you wear a full fit of gold! This football game was Amador’s Pigskin game–a festival where clubs and sports teams celebrate school spirit and the start of the new school year. Students wore gold shorts or pants to be in theme. They also accessorized with gold sunglasses, jewelry, or bandanas.
Theme 2: 9/26, Don Deckout
Don Deckout theme is a classic at Amador. This football game is the hometown Rivalry game, so wear school colors or Amador gear! Students could wear anything purple or gold, fun accessories, and strong Amador spirit!
Theme 3: 10/3, Neon
The Neon game is always bright and fun. An ideal outfit is wearing any bright and bold colors. Accessorizing with neon facepaint, or even glowsticks and glow up glasses is another way to show spirit!
Theme 4: 10/10, White Out
For White out, students should aim to dress in all-white outfits. Ideas for clothing inspiration could be wearing a white shirt or sweater, and for pants, white jeans or shorts. Accessories like a white bandana or even white beaded necklaces would be on theme!
Theme 5: 10/17, USA
The USA game is the chance to dress in red, white, and blue. Some outfit ideas could be wearing a red top, blue jeans, and white shoes. Many students might take the step to utilize red white and blue facepaint to replicate the Stars and Stripes!
Theme 6: 11/1, Pink Out
Pink out is the Breast Cancer Awareness game, and the final home game for the 2025-2026 school year. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and to show support, the theme is Pink Out! To culminate Friday Night Lights, students can wear any pink clothes, like a shirt or a hoodie, as well as accessories like facepaint or a pink bandana.
Students are looking forward to showing spirit at all FNL games.
“I am looking forward to Don Deckout for the Rivalry game, because I am going all out for that. I plan on wearing purple tights, a gold skirt, and an Amador shirt! I’m very excited for all the themes, socializing, and seeing my friends from other schools, and [to] cheer on my friends on the football team!” said Camila Reyes (‘28).
