Pier 39 in San Francisco is a famous place to go for tourisms and local families.

There are many places to visit in one of the tourist hot spots of the world, San Francisco. Some are absolutely more remarkable than others, such as Pier 39 or Chinatown, but here are the best places to go and how much it costs to get transportation, food, and other activities.

A fan favorite tourist attraction, Pier 39, is absolutely a place worth visiting. With multiple locations to explore, and a low cost to get there, attending should be a must do on your bucket list.

Transportations

To get to pier 39, there are multiple ways to get there. You could take a ferry costing from $1.00 to $9.30 or take your car, if you have a driver’s license. BART is also an alternative option with the cost around $7.90 to $15.90.

Attractions

A couple of main attractions that you should visit are the Seal Deck, the main attraction people go for. You could attend an exploration tour of the Aquarium of the Bay costing $33.66. From Pier 39 a ferry to Alcatraz Prison costing $45.25. A final attraction, this should be on your bucket list, is the Exploratorium, a museum for science, costing $39.95.

If you’re trying to be cost effective though, some other locations that are free to go to are the Palace of Fine Srts, a location dedicated to art and activities. Union Square, the first place to go when starting your trip to or from Pier 39. And finally the Musée Mécanique, a museum dedicated to mechanical machines and an absolute must see location when visiting San Francisco.

Foods

Some places to eat in Pier 39 are Chowders, a place for sourdough and clam chowder and soup. An average meal can cost between $8.99 for a kids meal and $12.99 to $14.99 for an adult meal. Up next is Surfs Bar and Grill, the barbeque location at Fisherman’s Wharf.  An average meal can cost anywhere from $10.95 to $11.95 for a kids meal and between $14.99 and $20.99 for an adult meal.
