Amador softball takes the field and are ready to defend.

This spring, the softball season starts up and players get ready for another season. To set their expectations for the new season, the players reflect on the last one.

“This season will be better for us as a team if we work together, give all our effort, and communicate on the field as much as we can,” said Madilyn Howe (‘26), first-year JV softball player.

This season, new players are welcomed to the team. The girls on the team already display a close connection when they play. They think this will partake in the strength of their team.

“I think this season we’re definitely a lot younger of a team compared to last year. I think it’ll be really beneficial for us to grow, especially in the following years being together for longer. I think our teammates will have a better connection,” said Caydence Likeness (‘25).

“Our team goals this season is to win, communicate, and overall come together as a team to show how well we can all be,” said Howe.

The girls look to their advantages as a team and discuss their excitement to grow together. That being to improve their team with communication and to try their hardest. They feel this will better their performance on the field.

“I think we stand out the most because we continue to grow throughout the season, especially with just this past month you’ve seen a lot of growth within our team,” said Likeness.

As illustrated by a player, those goals are already being checked off as the team grows closer and grows together in just over the past month.

“Our coaches’ expectation this season is for us to improve and show them how we can work together as a team and come together and win,” said Howe.
