On January 27, 2023, the San Francisco Huaxing Arts Group hosted the 5th East Bay Lunar New Year Gala. Friends and family came together to celebrate the lunar new year and the year of the rabbit. The event included several performances by local art groups such as Zitheras Academy, Kung Fu Dragon USA, and Xiaopei Chinese Dance. The event was a culmination of various different art groups showcasing their skills and talents.

Performances consisted of choreographed martial arts, modeling and fashion, choir and vocal groups, and traditional Chinese instruments. After three years of canceling the gala due to the pandemic, the show organizers were delighted to bring back the artful performances.
