As of now, Disney World Annual Passes include: the Incredi-Pass ($1,299), the Sorcerer Pass ($899), the Pirate Pass ($699), and the Pixie Pass ($399). Disneyland’s Magic Keys are: the Inspire Key ($1599), the Believe Key ($1099), the renewal-only Enchanted Key ($799), and the Imagine Key ($499).

Disney halted the production of Disney Annual Passes for the Disneyland theme parks in Los Angeles, California, and Orlando, Florida on Nov. 21 due to high demand and attendance tracking issues of Annual Pass holders.

Disney Annual Tickets were introduced in 1982 for Orlando Florida residents to enter the park anytime and get 10% discounts on merchandise and food. The Disney Annual Ticket costs $100 dollars for adults and $80 for kids. In June of 1983, Disney added Disney Annual Passes for Disneyland.

“It was more convenient to buy the bigger passes over a bunch of small limited tickets. We mainly used the passes to go to the parks every couple of months, but the passes also included perks we used such as discounts on food and merchandise,” said Reagen Rogers (‘23).

History teacher Phillip Peacock is also a fan of the Disney Annual Pass.

“I’ll get one especially for my wife. Disneyland is one of my favorite places on the planet. I’ll usually go to the park once a year. My wife will go anywhere between three and five times a year,” said Peacock.

Fans of Disney who live near and go to  Disney theme parks multiple times a year still express interest in Disney Annual Tickets. It’s cheaper for fans to buy a pass that lets them go whenever rather than buying tickets for each trip.

“I am upset that the annual pass left because I have a job and I was expecting to save some of that money so I could pay for the annual pass and go if I go to college down there,” said Satchel Williams (‘24).

In 2015, Disney changed the structure into four options: Platinum Plus ($829), Platinum ($749), Gold ($549), and Silver ($389). Recently Disney announced that they will be selling the Disney Annual Pass again while keeping the 2015 structure, but renaming it for Disneyworld and Disneyland.

“I was super upset when Disney stopped selling the annual passes and canceled our passes. I feel like they are more beneficial than the newer Magic Keys they released, but I still do wish the older passes would return. I have gone to Disneyland countless times, maybe over 100 visits but I’m not sure,” said Rogers.
