Coming back from their loss last Thursday against Dublin High School, the Amador badminton team defeated opponents Clayton Valley 17-0 in their home gym this afternoon.

This wasn’t the first time the Dons and Eagles went up against each other; on March 24, the Dons had set a new record for the season when they first beat the Eagles in an away game. At today’s meet-up, Amador triumphed again in their own territory, winning all seventeen games in straight sets.

For boys singles player Brayden Yin (’25), while his own match had its “ups and downs,” he thought the Dons overall played at their best in today’s games.

“We were hyped, because we had training yesterday which helped a lot,” said Yin.

Coach Mike Li also agreed the team’s rigorous training, greater playing experiences, and greater individual efforts helped bring about another win for the Dons.

“We had a wonderful day [and] I think everyone enjoyed it,” said Li. “I can see the improvement of our players. I really hope we can continue that progress, and become better and better.”

In their final game of the season next Tuesday at 4 PM, the Dons will come up against their old rivals at Dublin High for a final show down.
