Zachary’s Pizza recently opened up another location in downtown Pleasanton this summer. Located on Main Street across from Gay Nineties, it has attracted people from all across the Tri-Valley region to come and enjoy their deep dish Chicago-style pizza.

Open every day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m, people can come to enjoy lunch and dinner outside on the spacious patio or inside the restaurant with cool air conditioning. The new eatery has generated a lot of buzz in the community due to its prime location in the city’s center.

“I am excited because they have good deep dish pizza and that there is a closer one to my house,” said Ella McCarthy (‘22).

Zachary’s pizza offers a wide variety of menu options with delicious pizzas for a variety of palates. You can also order salads, meatballs, and buffalo wings. They even sell build your own pizzas where you can customize the toppings and sauce to your liking.

“I like the regular pepperoni and sausage and also the deep dish version of that because my dad likes it a lot,” said Abby Wight (‘22).

The restaurant has provided many jobs to teenagers and created a sense of community within the staff. The company is entirely employee-owned and workers span across multiple locations at once. Sydney Pruss (‘23), a student at Amador, got a job at the establishment this week.

“I am super excited to start working there because all of the employees are super nice and it’s a really nice working environment,” said Pruss.

Located in Main Street, Pleasanton, Zachary’s is a close nine-minute walk from Amador and gives students an opportunity to order pizza after school for a study snack to bring home or to go out with their friends after a long school day.

This highly anticipated addition to the Tri-Valley area serves Chicago-style pizza with a San Franciscan twist and is a chance for Pleasanton residents to indulge in a smorgasbord of new flavors. From the saucy base to the thick crust, Zachary’s Pizza serves a unique cuisine that will transport you to the bustling metropolis of Chicago, Illinois.
