Steven Winder is a junior in the 2025-2026 school year at Amador Valley High School. The only journalism he has ever done has been a singular interview for a school project; nonetheless, he has always been passionate about the craft of writing and telling captivating stories. He aims to highlight the various groups and extracurricular activities he is involved in, bringing the freshest, most exciting stories. Steven’s interest in journalism blossoms as he learns more about it, and he hopes to develop skills such as conducting interviews and video editing over the year.

Steven’s number-one passion outside of school has been working behind the scenes for most local high school theatre productions since his freshman year: this includes Blithe Spirit, 9 to 5, She Kills Monsters, and The Crucible. He also uses his knowledge in running sound and lighting tech to help out with many of the assemblies and productions run by groups at AVHS. Outside of any extracurriculars, Steven enjoys playing visual novels and horror games with his friends.
