It is Kayla Stanley’s first year in AV Journalism.  Stanley has always had a passion for making and producing things. She loves all things performing and wants to be a part of behind the scenes. Stanley grew up making videos and learning how to edit small things, eventually carrying it into her journalism knowledge today. She was always fond of news anchors and weather reporters, and was inspired by the way they lead a channel and set the tone for the audience. With some experience, she found her calling when anchoring for HPTV in 8th grade, 2023. The following year, she took a break from journalism altogether, but now she is back, ready to create some amazing videos, podcasts, and other journalism-related content. Stanley is always excited to film and is just as energetic in real life as she is on camera. 

She enjoys cheerleading and Instagram outside of journalism, and is always happy to help others. Stanley especially has a passion for cheer and stunt. She loves the friendships she’s made through it, and she sees it as her second home, along with journalism. She is so excited to be a part of journalism this year!
