“This Thanksgiving has been a special one for our family because we recently moved to Pleasanton and the move has been hard, it’s been tough to get used to this new school, this new house. But what I’m really thankful for is my friends and family, really going back to the basics. Without my family, our move wouldn’t have been as easy and it’s still not easy for us to live in this house. It’s foreign and doesn’t feel like home quite yet but I’m thankful for them because with them, I am [making] many memories in this home, and finally call it someplace where I live, even if it’s not where I grew up or where I was born. Also, I’m thankful for my friends because, without people to help in Amador, I would have never felt the way I do right now. I’ve had so many great opportunities to make memories with people, go to homecoming with them, go to Pirates of Emerson, and [it’s] such an amazing experience. It’s so easy to be left out these days [and] finding the right group of people is honestly very hard. But are hosting Friendsgiving tomorrow and it’s honestly the sweetest thing because when I moved to Amador I thought I would be alone. Also, I’m thankful for the basketball team because they are my new family now and I love basketball.”
