Sofia Erskine is a sophomore starting her first year in AVJ as an Op-Ed Editor. She came to Pleasanton in October of 2020, having moved continuously throughout her childhood due to her father's career in the Air Force. Her passion for writing began with lyricism. She picked up this hobby during quarantine and soon found that it was a perfect outlet for all of her thoughts. She now wishes to expand her style of writing while still speaking out on what she is passionate about. 

She enjoys music more than anything. Her hobbies include singing, songwriting, producing, and fangirling over k-pop groups with her older sister. Her biggest supporters have always been her family, and she could not be more thankful to them for being a constant in her life. She believes that family is the most important thing, and loves spending her free time with them. Sofia’s favorite ways to relax are by binge watching k-dramas and the Twilight series, something that her friends will never let her live down. However, if there is one thing that anyone would say to describe Sofia, it would be that she marches to the beat of her own drum.
