With Thanksgiving right around the corner, here are four mouth watering dishes perfect for wowing guests. These recipes are 10 or less steps, and ingredients can be found in your day to day refrigerator or cabinet. 

 

Simple Thanksgiving Stuffing

One dish almost as important as the turkey is stuffing. This delicious, yet simple stuffing recipe just needs some preparation and love to blow away family and friends this Thanksgiving season. 

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf of white bread
  • 4 slices of whole wheat bread
  • 1 cup of onions
  • 1 cup of celery
  • 1 Jimmy Dean sausage roll
  • 3 white castle hamburgers
  • 2 tablespoons of raspberry jelly
  • ¾ stick of butter
  • Chicken stock

 

Directions:

  1. Toast bread the day before so they’re a little bit stale
  2. Chop up onions and celery
  3. Preheat oven to 275 degrees fahrenheit
  4. Add stick of butter in saucepan on medium heat, then brown onions and celery
  5. Add Jimmy Dean sausage
  6. Chop up white castle hamburgers and add to saucepan, then add raspberry jelly
  7. Add chicken stock (add as preferred) into saucepan mixture 
  8. Put mixed concoction in a lasagna pan and cook until golden brown (should NOT be cooked until dry)
  9. Serve and enjoy!

 

Cream Sauce Seafood Pasta

This pescatarian friendly pasta dish will leave turkey lovers breathless. Customize this dish with whatever seafood you want! 

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of any type pasta
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1/2 cup of diced onion
  • 3 tablespoons of minced garlic
  • 3 tablespoons of minced parsley 
  • 3 cups of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of milk
  • Pinch of salt and pepper 
  • 1 cup of parmesan cheese
  • 1 lb seafood of your choice

 

Directions:

  1. Boil pasta per instructions on the box. Then drain and set a side.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan, and add garlic, onion, parsley
  3. Stir all ingredients in the saucepan until it’s slightly brown.
  4. Put seafood in. Stir fry for a couple minutes.
  5. Put heavy cream and milk, stir
  6. When cream and milk start bubbling, put Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper to taste. Stir.
  7. Put pasta in cream sauce. Stir. 
  8. Serve fresh!

 

Olive Oil Cake

This cake is sure to replace other regular Thanksgiving desserts. DISCLAIMER: It does not taste like olive oil at all! It has a moist, warm, citrusy flavor. 

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 ¼ cups of all-purpose flour 
  • ¾ cups of sugar
  • ½ teaspoons of baking powder
  • ½ teaspoons of baking soda
  • ½ teaspoons of salt
  • ⅓ cups of olive oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons of orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon of orange zest
  • Butter
  • Powdered sugar
  • 1 sprig of rosemary 

 

Directions:

  1. Sift together all-purpose flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda in a bowl.
  2. Mix sugar and eggs together in another bowl with a hand mixer on medium speed. 
  3. Carefully add olive oil and vanilla extract into sugar-egg mixture until combined.
  4. Add half of the flour mixture at a time into a wet ingredients bowl.
  5. Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit
  6. Grease 9-inch round cake pan with butter
  7. Pour batter into a greased cake pan.
  8. Bake for 25-35 minutes 
  9. Let cake cool for at least one hour
  10. Dust with powdered sugar and garnish with a sprig of rosemary and serve!
