The beginning of the final year of high school brings mixed emotions from feeling some kind of sentiment or sadness to excitement and glee. Spending the last year with friends and loved ones is important for most. The class of 2018 has a lot to look forward to this year from their last Aloha and Homecoming to graduation itself.

“This year I’m excited to finish high school and graduate and then begin college next fall,” said Fatima Salazar (‘18).

Many students take small trips outside of school with their friends to celebrate their last year. Festivals and concerts are popular among seniors, such as Outside Lands, Snow Globe, and Coachella, and some save up enough money to go on vacation to places like sunny Southern California or even to the beautiful coastline of Mexico.

“I’m excited to go to Coachella and Senior Ball because I’ve been looking forward to those ever since I was a freshman, but I’m not excited to leave my friends when I go to college,” said Maddy Foster (‘18).

Seniors were finally crowned as class of ’18 at the Aloha Rally.

“I’m excited to graduate and go on to the next chapter of my life but I will miss my friends unconditionally. This year I am looking forward to ball and senior camping,” said Elizabeth Lee (‘18).

The most memorable events are the ones spent with friends and classmates like Senior Camping and Senior Ball. This last year together will be cherished by all and it’s important to make the best of it before the class of 2018 graduates and moves on to the next chapter of their lives.

Senior friends were excited to reunite in the beginning of this year to face their last year with their friends.
