Silent Spotify- Why can’t students access the app on campus?

After Spotify sent messages telling classroom printers all over campus to print this week, it has been blocked from Amador’s wifi. The frequent, unnecessary printing was wasting significant amounts of paper and ink.

Vice Principal Sebastian Bull said that “We blocked Spotify to stop this from happening and notified them of the issues for them to correct from their end.”

While the digital music program has been blocked from the school’s wifi, many students have still been able to access their saved music, and it hasn’t prohibited them from using the site.
